Continuing Resolution vote failed today in Congress. Day 3 of the government Shutdown.

Congress was unable to pass a continuing resolution today, leaving the government without funding and the shutdown in place.

  • The Senate voted 54–44 against advancing the House-passed CR.
  • A Democratic-led short-term funding bill also failed by a vote of 46–52.
  • Additional Senate action is scheduled for October 6, but with no agreement in sight, the shutdown is expected to last through at least next week.
